San Francisco, Day 4

This will be a short entry, because today we basically did nothing. Originally we'd planned to maybe take the Blue & Gold or Duck tour, as a way to keep off our feet, but instead Alyssa did some shopping for a bit and I grabbed a bite to eat and did some light exploring.

When we got back to the hotel, we took a three hour nap.

After we woke up, we were still feeling lethargic, so we sat around in bed for a bit, ordered room service, and finally got off our butts to go across the street to see a movie. I'd been wanting to see Skyfall, and Alyssa finally assented. We both thought it was great - brilliantly shot and full of stunning visuals. I think it's the best of the modern Bond films by far. The only problem we had with it was that much of the plot only makes sense if MI6 has incompetent information security experts.

After the movie we stopped at the Mediterrenian place across the street. I got the beef shwarma, which I've been wanting to try ever since seeing the Avengers. Alyssa got a gyro. Both were great and full of flavor, though they tasted very similar.

We relaxed in the hotel room and watched some television, then went to bed. It was a very relaxed day, which our feet definitely needed. Unfortunately, I ate the last of my dark chocolate supply, so we'll have to head out of the hotel room tomorrow for more if nothing else.
